We’ve been making household tools and presents for friends lately. It’s been a lot of fun to create more personalized gifts.
Dice Vault
LEGO Cars
Our Girl Scout troop wanted to try out the Race Car Challenge badge. We started by having each girl draw her idea of a race car shape, then I cut them out on our laser cutter. The girls each painted their design, then we glued the cut out designs to LEGO plates. Every girl got to build and then race her own, complete with a LEGO minifig.
I think this was the girls’ favorite badge activity of the year.
Axolotl Necklace
My daughter decided to make her friend a custom necklace. It was pretty cute at this age trying to brainstorm what things her friend most likes. I think she did a great job because when we showed up to the party, the friend was wearing a pink and green axolotl t-shirt.
Flour Jar
Laser engraved a glass flour container for our flour jars. The symbols pictured above the words are Aurebesh for ‘Almond Flour’ (the Star Wars alphabet).
