Artsy Type is my creative playground—a space where I share my ideas, whether they’re artistic or engineered. The artsytype.com domain has been part of my journey as a web developer since its early days as a splash page in 2009, evolving into a shared gallery for friends’ artwork, and now into a creative blog.

My Story

From Layout Editor at the UNCC Newspaper, to UX Designer for Drupal.org, and now as a creative Mom of three, my love for creating designs and sharing them has been a lifelong passion. Even as an elementary school student, I developed an algorithm to teach my classmates how to draw my grandfather’s cartoon characters—though I didn’t know what an algorithm was at the time.

My first conference, a journalism conference in Kansas City, MO in 2008.

Coloring Pages

I love creating coloring pages for my kids, watching their imaginations come to life as they fill them with color. Sharing these pages with the world through Creative Commons lets others enjoy that same creative freedom.

Code Projects

I’m excited to share code projects here, from fun web components to quick AI training lessons, and inspire others to dive into the same excitement and curiosity. I’m looking forward to making complex ideas accessible.

Art Supplies

I’m happy to share a variety of clip art, icon sets, brushes, and texture packs. I created these for my own art projects, and I’d love to see others enjoy and make use of them.

Imagination is like a goldfish in a bowl of origami cranes—swim and fold your way through endless, whimsical possibilities.
